one of the highlights for last week is that last sat, FIR and other celerity came to church. BUT i cramp until i can't get down my bed so i MISSED it. Argh! ahh!!
then on sunday, i'm ready to CHIONG my 2500 step and earn a 25 worth goodies bag BUT next day got SCHOOL so CANNOT risk! ARGH!

Easter vs chalet

easter is over, but is just a begining..
because of easter, i got to give up going to my class chalet
very disappointed that i couldn't join..
when i told luis and daryl " i'm not going le ", i'm just pretty sad loh
i always wanted to have fun..
that day when adem told me is on 10 to 11 april.. i didnt know is on easter.. in the end. no choice.

i wanted to cab down de, but i don know how to go and couldn't contact them..

who would believe if i say i want to build bonding with the class?

somehow i wondered, am i fated not to have strong bonding with my class since everytime the timing of gathering i couldnt make it?

i was looking through my photo album and realise that my hairstyle always changes.

i still remember the 1st time i tried the "doll doll" hairstyle.. failure!

then i tried the 2nd time after my N level, the out come is even worse..

i wanted to post about the 5 language of love but as i surf the net, i found something interesting. instead of 5 language of love, i came across 5 language of apology.

The Five Languages of Apology

1)Expressing Regret

“Expressing Regret” is the Apology Language that zeroes in on emotional hurt. It is an admission of guilt and shame for causing pain to another person.

The Languages of Apology:
How to Experience Healing in All Your Relationships

For those who listen for “Expressing Regret” apologies, a simple “I’m sorry” is all they look for. There is no need for explanation or “pay back” provided the apology has truly come from the heart.

“Expressing Regret” is a powerful Apology Language because it gets right to the point. It doesn’t make excuses or attempt to deflect blame. Above all, “Expressing Regret” takes ownership of the wrong. For that reason, “Expressing Regret” is understood as a sincere commitment to repair and rebuild the relationship.

The “Expressing Regret” Apology Language speaks most clearly when the person offering the apology reflects sincerity not only verbally, but also through body language. Unflinching eye contact and a gentle, but firm touch are two ways that body language can underscore sincerity.

2) Accept Responsibility

It is very difficult for some people to admit that they’re wrong. It makes them doubt their self-worth, and no one likes to be portrayed as a failure. However, as adults, we must all admit that we are sinners and that we will make mistakes. We are going to make poor decisions that hurt our mates, and we are going to have to admit that we were wrong. We have to accept responsibility for our own failures.

For many individuals, all they want is to hear the words, “I am wrong.” If the apology neglects accepting responsibility for their actions, many partners will not feel as though the apology was meaningful and sincere. Many partners need to learn how to overcome their ego, the desire to not be viewed as a failure, and simply admit that their actions were wrong. For a mate who speaks this apology language, if an apology does not admit fault, it is not worth hearing. Being sincere in your apology means allowing yourself to be weak, and admitting that you make mistakes. Though this may be hard to do for some people, it makes a world of a difference to your partner who speaks this language.

3) Make Restitution
In our society, many people believe that wrong acts demand justice. The one who commits the crime should pay for their wrongdoing. A mate who speaks this love language feels the same way towards apologies. They believe that in order to be sincere, the person who is apologizing should justify their actions. The mate who’s been hurt simply wants to hear that their mate still loves them.

There are many effective ways to demonstrate sincerity in an apology. Each mate must learn the other’s love language in order to complete the act of restitution. Though some mates may feel a though all is forgotten with a bouquet of flowers, that may not necessarily work for all mates.

Every mate should uncover what their partner’s main love language is (Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Acts of Service, Physical Touch, and Receiving Gifts) and use that specific language in order to make restitutions in the most effective way.

For a mate whose primary apology language is making restitutions, no matter how often you say “I’m sorry”, or “I was wrong”, your mate will never find the apology sincere. You must show strong efforts for making amends. A genuine apology will be accompanied by the assurance that you still love your mate
and have a desire to right the wrong-doings committed.

4) Genuinely Repent
For some individuals, repentance is the convincing factor in an apology. Some mates will doubt the sincerity of an apology if it is not accompanied by their partner’s desire to modify their behavior to avoid
the situation in the future.

It’s important to remember that all true repentance begins in the heart. A mate must feel poorly for hurting their loved one, and rely on God’s help in order to truly change. Admitting you are wrong creates vulnerability. It allows your mate to get a glimpse of your heart. The glimpse of true self is assurance that the apology was sincere.

One important aspect of genuinely repenting is verbalizing your desire to change. Your mate cannot read your mind. Though you may be trying to change inside, if you do not verbalize your desire to change to your mate, most likely they will still be hurt.

Many people have problems with repenting when they do not feel as though their actions were morally wrong. However, in a healthy relationship, we often make changes that have nothing to do with morality and everything to do with building a harmonious marriage.

It is also important to make a dedicated plan for change. Often apologies involving repentance fail because the person never set up steps of action to help ensure success. A person must first set goals for their change. After you create realistic goals, then you can start implementing a plan to change. Taking baby steps towards repentance instead of insisting on changing all at once will increase your chances of successfully changing your ways.

It is important to remember that change is hard. Constructive change does not mean we will immediately be successful. There will be highs and lows on the road to change. You must remember that with God’s help, anyone can change their ways if they are truly and genuinely ready to repent.

5) Request Forgiveness

In some relationships, a mate wants to hear their partner physically ask for forgiveness.

They want assurance that their mate recognizes the need for forgiveness. By asking forgiveness for their actions, a partner is really asking their mate to still love them.

Requesting forgiveness assures your mate that you want to see the relationship fully restored. It also proves to your mate that you are sincerely sorry for what you’ve done. It shows that you realize you’ve done something wrong. Requesting forgiveness also shows that you are willing to put the future of the relationship in the hands of the offended mate. You are leaving the final decision up to your partner – to forgive or not forgive.

Requesting forgiveness is not easy. It often leaves one vulnerable to the fear of rejection. Along with the fear of rejection is the fear of failing. Many people have a hard time seeking forgiveness because it means admitting that you have failed. The only way to overcome this fear is to recognize that it is very common amongst mankind. The commonality makes it okay to be a failure. It allows a stubborn mate to apologize to their partner and become a healthy individual.

Ultimately, it’s important to remember that there is a difference between asking for forgiveness and DEMANDING forgiveness. When we demand forgiveness, we tend to forget the nature of forgiveness. Forgiveness is a choice the offended party is supposed to make. Demanding forgiveness takes away the sincerity of asking for it.

Remember not to treat forgiveness lightly. It is something to be cherished and appreciated. The act of forgiveness is hard on both ends – for the person who’s asking and for the person who’s accepting.

i got to make a choice out of it.

in the end
i decided to continue what i've been doing for the last 2 years.
follow Him.
though there's surely a price to paid.

but inside me
i know is only when i made a choice to sacrifice and follow, i'm then able to come closer to Him.

how He was rejected, accused and persecuted because of me.

sometimes people who are talented in the areas of singing, dance, arts etc, they are harder to develop their talent.

1st reason : require high standard. so people[especially parent] worry that they[their children] can't survive if that take it as their career so they criticize them. make them give up this dream or desire.

2nd reason : to learn the skill, usually only private school provides [which very expensive], so usually people usually can't afford even though they talent in the aea.

isn't sad?
i mean you can be who you actually can be.
but because of the people around and the financial lack
people are being limited.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
although is abit late but i think you guys won't mind.
hehe

yesterday is CNY 1st day.
and the day before my family had reunion dinner [steamboat] as usual.
well well.
i had a lot of fun crappy and playing the word game with my family.
though something which really upset me alot
but i still enjoy.

then i went to help my mom to baby sit 3 kids namely, sylvester [my bro], hao jin [7 years old] and xiang yin [10 years old]. well.. is kinda easy job. they too, enjoy showing naruto shippuuden and very easy to handle.

then next day which is yesterday, i went to my ah ma hse. [so bored]
i used to look forward to meet my cousin they all and i remembered how we fight back the bullied, play with fire etc. but sigh~
they all have their own space le and forgotten the times when we were young.
well anyway, back to the topic.
i got so bored, so i brought the 3 kids to playground and played.
then over there, i tried to read and my mind was too busy.
sigh~

the nightmare stopped when xavier sms-ed me
" are we having any event tonight? "
wahha..
that's when the whole midnight movie came about!

after hours of discussion
luis, xavier, kenny, carmen, jiahui and i went to watch the movie " the wedding game ".
it wasn't what i expected but still ok with me.
we had lots of fun and laughter.
especially after movie.

so after movie which is about 4plus.
we went to carmen house and have a chat. [ finally be able to wear somthing comfortable.. argh.]
about 6.30am, we went to reservior and feel the winds. [but xavier cannot stay any longer so he left. sigh~]
seriously speaking, i really nice that place. is just that i must go there in a group, if not sure emo de.
k back to my story, we were walking at the reservior, and that's when kenny is seriously quiet and luis is seriously noisy/ talking nonsense. [reason : too sleeply]
we then went to had our breakfast and well.. go home.

carmen most pro de, when she got home still can go use com. jiahui already fell asleep le.
kenny very sleeply but keep saying no prob. haha. he very funny.
still not used to it huh kenny?

what but surprise me most was luis, i seriously didnt know that he can be so childish and noisy.
he being talking alot of nonsense stuff which we don noe how to reply him. *gone case* next time go ton cannot ask him le.. oops.

but really enjoyed myself.

CNY is around the corner and i was packing my room, tidy up my stuff.

didnt know i have so many unwanted books in my cupboard.

wanna share something interesting
as i was packing my book, i found my Journal
this journal thingy used to be one of my weekends homework.
so i opened out the book and start reading my own noval and my teacher's comment.

then it comes to this part where i pasted all the small encouraging note that were written by my classmate for me.
most of it is thanking me for helping them and be with them with they are upset and so.
to be honest, i don even remember these things that they are talking about and i'm
suddenly this line came to my mind

" is it the little detail that matters "

Yes! is the little things that matters!

let me ask you this question.
what is the thing that touches your life most?
what is the thing that your friend did for you and you will never forget?
is it buying you a gift which cost $100plus, or is it an encouragement when you feel like giving up?

to me, those things that i did wasn't anything big or noble. but to my friends, it somethings that is significant, and something that really encourage to continue to walk out of the valley, and so they remembered even though i had forgotten.

i felt so good to once be reminded by this fact.
i do not have to be somebody that is powerful, rich or great to do something for the people around me.
i can be who i am now and change the lives of others to better.

as i grow older

today brought my bro and his "girl" friend to swim.
finally can suntan. shiok

until like 7plus i saw one of my lifeguard fren, yanto.
chatted quite alot of stuff, esp about how in the past we crap with the others lifeguard.
come to think about it, lots of my lifeguard friend quit the job or were transferred to another swimming complex.
i remembered that time, when i first know them, i'm only 15years old.
and now. 3 years had passed.
now, only left 3 old friend working there.
kinda miss the rest.
after awhile, larry [another lifeguard friend]join in the conversation.
i don noe how we change the topic to Christian.
so he brought up these.

lately went out with some of my cgm very often.

on 10 jan 09 [sat]

after fellowship at airport
kenny drove some of them to boon lay mrt station then the rest of us which is kenny, daniel, luis and i went to Lim Chu Kang [go there scared ourselves only]. -.- [wrong choice of place.] [don try this outside!]
then we go to jurong area and ate supper. reached home about 2plus.

on 11 jan 09 [sun]

after service
luis, kenny, kit, raymond, carmen, jiahui and i went to go IMM walk walk and then go chervons and sing! woah!
hahahah, then zhi hao joined in.

on 12 jan 09 [mon]

coz got my result that day
at night
Gloria[cgl], jia hui, kit and luis came down to jurong and celebrated for me, coz actually my result not too bad except for eng-.-
then we had dinner n went go mac play.

on 13 jan 09 [tue]

went to NUS to find gloria[cgl] and seek help in choosing the course.
then " meet " sinying and cindy and go westmall tgt. shopping? haha

on 14 jan 09 [wed]

wanted bs, but forgot to bring bible.
in the end fellowship with gloria[cgl], raymond and kenny

on 15 jan 09 [thur]

went to jp mac and met luis for laptop.
then fellowship with gloria[cgl], luis, luis's fren, kenny, huimin and daniel.
then went to Ikea with kenny, daniel and huimin.

i like the foods there..

on 16 jan 09 [fri]

went to NIE to meet luis and tour around the school and crap.
then meet kenny at the best coffeeshop. after that kenny drove me to my hse and get my o level document. however in the end we didnt send to ngee ann or go fix kenny laptop. psps.
we went to daniel hse and meet him to go fetch huimin. went to old boon lay and eat. then go
luis's aunty hse and show the 9pm show while daniel and kenny playin bball downstair.
after everytime which is about 10plus.
we went to pandan reservoir and walk walk. and about 12plus, we go to west coast park and play. very fun! and funny too. hee.. ...
then i reached home about 2am plus.

i just couldn't bring out.

I score not too bad for my result esp for English, I got D7.

i cried badly when i reached home.

I wondered, how am I gonna pursue my dream? How can I become a pre-school teacher, when I can't get into the course.

I felt lost.

Then this verse came into my mind.

yes!

Even though I can't get into early childhood courses doesn't mean I cannot be a teacher. There are other paths available too.

Failure doesn't mean a the end of my future, but is a new begining.

When things doesn't happen the way I expected it doesn't mean is not gonna happen, it just means that I will be walking through a different path that will still bring me to where I want to go.

I believe He will directs my path.

Everything happen for a reason

I believe in the future, I'm able to use what I've exp to help others.

I went for night cycling and I reach boonlay at 10am plus

then at 11am plus when i'm about to sleep.
sinying, cindy and tingwei surprise me by coming to my room with the birthday cake.

then at 1am plus
we went to subway and have lunch then jiahao came and join us.
about that time..
2 stranger came to me with a cake and wishes me happy birthday
scare me!
but i believe i know who ARE behind this

well, at 4plus, we saw ms ng, then saw mr yap, then saw guoliang then saw alot more ppl.

i meet luis and we went to take mrt to somerset and meet the rest of my cgm

after fellowship
kenny gave us [carmen, jiahui, xavier, daniel and i] a ride back home.
but before that he drove us to Lim Chu Kang coz he need to pass sth to his daddy who is working there. as we were on our way there, we keep on craping nonsense stuff and laugh
i laugh until like lose control like that.

she is flying off today
though she will be back by 1 jan 09
but feels like sth missing.

ytd when we sang the auld lang syne at the end of the svc
the whole cg came to my mind
together with n395, we went through thick and thin.
we shared prob, plan events together and have fun together

i was preparing the gift for the children home, some of my ex-cgm came and help me out in wrapping.

then after that went to meet my UMB member for party

qiao er accompany me go to the children home
when we reach there
i then realise that is all malay but it doesn't matter
they too deserve to be bless and be happy.

we went there, like VIP [ very impt people]
the person-in-charge keep addressing me as sister crystal
hee. kinda cool huh?

as we gave out the gift according to the gender [gal 1st then boy]
the girl perform for us a song to thank us.
they are good !
then they quene up and shake our hand, thank us.
hee.
some of the little girl said that i looked like model
hahahhaha. so truthful :P [self praise, just ignore]

then we went over to the boys area.
not so happening.
to my surprise there are very few children in the home
most of them went home with their parent for Christmas.

throughout the whole event
something caught my attention.
there were 2 little girl always follow us, wherever we go, they also go.
then when we are about to leave, one of them said " see you next year, must come back !"

is it because a lot people went there once and never go back and visit them? which lead to my next topic.

Is CIP really benefiting the society ?

i remembered Mr Paul once shared this in the class that the reason of having CIP is to educate the younger generation and at the same time serve and help the needy society.

But

Nowadays, most of the student do it because it is compulsory to fulfill a couple of CIP hours.
Then what happen? they went to old folk home and children home, chat with them, take care of them and when the time is up the student just happily say bye bye and left.

instead of really loving them, listen to their cry and be a encourager. the student made the old folk and children feel as if they were used!

they are those who family had abandoned them. And now students are making used of them to get their CIP hours.
Are we really helping them? or making things worse?

and can you imagine, the students went there chat with the old folks and kids, make them exp the love and joy. then when time is up, the student left and never return.
the old folk and kids will be even more sad.
coz they thought finally sb care for them le, yet they left them again.

this is sad
but this is the reality.
